Joe Keller
Head Coach
Hailing from Petersburg, Indiana, Coach Keller attended Ball State University, where he excelled in swimming, achieving Mid-American Conference qualifications/finals and securing a place on Ball State’s Top 10 All-Time list. Recognized for his academic prowess, he graduated in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and a minor in U.S. History. His coaching journey began at Northridge High School and NASA, spanning over two decades. Keller holds numerous certifications, including Water Safety Instructor and Lifeguard Instructor from Indiana University at Pennsylvania (IUP), where he also earned a Master of Science in Education in 2001.
In 2017, Coach Keller assumed the Head Coach position with FAST and Fishers High School, bringing his wealth of experience. His accolades include Achievements in Education Awards, multiple Coach of the Year titles, and the prestigious Jim Clark Memorial Award in 2020. He has coached Olympic Trials Finalists and guided Paralympic athlete Caleb Cripe to World Championships success. A Level 4 certified ASCA coach, Coach Keller actively contributes to Indiana Swimming committees and serves as the Senior Chair on the performance committee.
Beyond the pool, Coach Keller is a devoted family man, married to Patti, with three children: Philip, Kristopher, and Timothy.
