Isaiah Huisman
Tigers 1/HS Prep
Coach Isaiah grew up in Muncie, Indiana, spending the majority of his summers on the beaches
of Lake Michigan with his family. He started his competitive swimming career at age 5, the
soonest the team would let him join, with Cardinal Community Aquatics. He remained
competing with the CARD until his senior year of high school. Throughout high school, he swam
for the Yorktown Tigers. Isaiah specialized in Butterfly, IM, and Mid-Distance Free.
After High School, Isaiah chose to not continue his swimming career. He attended Ball State
University, earning a degree in Exercise Science with a concentration in Aquatics. Throughout
college, Isaiah coached with the age group program for Yorktown Swim Club (2016-2019) and
as Head Coach for Burris Laboratory School (2018). After College, Coach Isaiah spent time with
Carmel Swim Club (2019-2021) as an Aquatics Assistant, focusing on developing their swim
lessons program. Upon leaving Carmel, Isaiah started working for Elsmore Swim Shop as a
Regional Sales Rep, where he continues to work today. While working with Elsmore, Isaiah also
coached for Washington Township Swim Club as a Lead Group coach for their Developmental
and 10&Under Programs. Coach Isaiah is excited for the next chapter with FAST, while also
feeling bitter sweet about the close of his chapter with WTSC.
Isaiah has spent his time coaching focusing on technique and how swimmers interact with the
water. His goal is to create life-long athletes and to share his passion for the sport of swimming,
while pushing each athlete under his tutelage to be the best version of themselves possible.
